Kinorhyncha is a phylum of small marine invertebrates, commonly called mud dragons, that are widespread in mud or sand at all ocean depths as part of the meiobenthos, the community of tiny organisms living among sediment grains. Modern species measure 1 millimeter or less, though Cambrian forms could reach 4 centimeters.
