Cupressaceae is the cypress family of coniferous trees and shrubs, comprising roughly 30 genera found on every continent except Antarctica. The family includes the genus Sequoia, the coast redwood, and the genus Sequoiadendron, the giant sequoia, among the tallest and most massive trees in the world, as well as junipers, cypresses and cedars.
